Dog Walking and Pet Sitting
I have always loved animals, and very much enjoy cuddling them, looking after them, and spending time with them. I have had 4 (fluffy longhaired) cats over the past 20 years and have worked at a number of different vet clinics for several years, so am very used to being covered in pet hair and being licked and sat and laid on by animals of all shapes and sizes who have no concept of personal space!
This photo is with my cat, Tai, who was a very fluffy Ragdoll, and as can be seen from this photo, had to be front and centre at all times! My beautiful boy Tai passed away on 18th of June 2022. I still miss him.
If you live in North London (in the N4, N6, N8, N10, N19 postcodes, and possibly also some surrounding areas if near good transport links) I am happy to offer petsitting and dog walking services, when I have availability.
See below for more details and pricing.
Some of the photos on this page were taken with a camera phone, so are a bit blurry!
I will always want to meet you and your pet before we commit to any pet / house sitting, to ensure that we are a good fit and that you feel completely comfortable leaving your pet in my care.
If you would like to book a dog walk / petsit or have any questions, please complete the form at the bottom of this page, and I will reply to you as soon as I can.

Dog Walking & Dog Sitting
"I recently started a new job which has meant that my gorgeous lurcher Hannah needed some company during the week. As soon as Hannah and Kim met they immediately bonded which was so lovely to see. |
DOG WALKING
A lot of dog owners don't have the luxury of working from home every day, so are forced to leave their dogs behind when they go to work, which I know can be really hard to do. Dogs can get bored or lonely if left for too long, and some can suffer from separation anxiety, or go stir-crazy with pent up energy and nowhere to burn it. They are pack animals so don't tend to like to be isolated on their own, and really enjoy the company of others.
If you are out at work during the day and would like somebody to keep your dog company - be it taking them for a walk, and / or playing with or cuddling them, do get in touch.
I have always loved dogs. If I didn't have a cat, and live in a 3rd floor flat without a garden, I would most definitely have at least one, so I would love to spend time with yours. I will collect your dog from your home, and spend around 1 hour with them, including taking them to a local park for a good walk, and / or just a couple of loo breaks in the garden and lots of cuddles and belly rubs (and treats, if allowed) in their home, if preferred. If you want to book me to look after your dog for more than 2 hours, that will be at my day rate of £60.
If your dog has good and reliable recall and you are sure they will come back to me when called, I am happy to let them off the lead in the local park, Highgate Wood, Parkland Walk or Hampstead Heath so they can run around and explore, or play with other dogs to burn off some pent up energy. I will only tend to look after non-aggressive dogs with dog and people good manners, as I want this to be an enjoyable experience both for them and me.
I walk dogs one on one - or two if from the same household - as I want to be able to focus all my attention on your dog. On very rare occasions, I may walk two dogs from different households, but ONLY if I'm absolutely sure that they are compatible. All dogs have differing walking and play styles, and I want the walk to be best suited to your dog's style and wishes, where they can fully enjoy themselves, allow their personality to flourish and get the most out of their walk.
Where I walk dogs, there are plenty of opportunities for your dog to play with others if they wish, or ignore other dogs if they prefer. Walking a bigger group of dogs can so often lead to one or more dogs trying to dominate or intimidate others, or one or more dogs feeling bullied or fearful, or harassed, or pushed out of their comfort zone. Dogs can also get lost, eat something they shouldn't, or be injured or scared by another dog.
I don't allow any of this to happen.
See my blog post 'Rambles on the Heath' for a photographed example of an afternoon walk, and my testimonials page for some reviews from owners of dogs I regularly walk.
If you are interested in potentially booking, I am happy to arrange a meeting with you and your dog in a local park or at your home, so we can see if we are all a good fit. I love dogs, so would be so very happy to meet yours!
I charge £23 per hour for one dog and £30 per hour for two dogs from the same household, including a walk. If the dog or dogs are especially challenging to walk (pulling excessively on the lead / dog or people reactive etc), there is an additional charge of £5/walk.
In special circumstances, I can walk your dog for 1.5 hours, which costs £28 (£35 for 2 dogs).

DOG / HOUSE SITTING
"Kim is a wonderful pet sitter. She has professional experience with pets after working at the vet, managing critters of all creeds and sizes. |
If you are going on holiday I can also look after your dog in your home, where they are most comfortable and at ease. It can also be good from a security perspective to have somebody looking after your home while you are away.
Please ensure there is enough food, poo bags, and anything else your dog will need during your absence. I will want to have a conversation with you about your dog's habits, likes and dislikes, their recall and how they get along with people and other dogs. Please feel free to leave me a detailed note with instructions and information.
I want your dog to be as happy and comfortable as possible, and for their routine to be as close to normal as it can be during your absence. My goal is to give your dog their best holiday while you are away!
I charge from £60 upwards per day for dog and house sitting, depending on requirements, length of stay and number of pets.
If you want me to look after your dog for just an hour or two, that is not a problem - and I charge £23/hour. Anything over 2 hours is charged at my day rate of £60. I am happy to look after your dog for a few hours, or a day or evening, or longer.

"Kim looked after our dog for a week and he seemed happy and healthy on our return. He clearly loved Kim and the many long walks she had with him." - Jennifer, and Butler the Goldendoodle
CAT (AND POSSIBLY OTHER PET) SITTING
“Kim has been a godsend. We’re so happy we found such a great cat sitter, it’s always hard leaving our cat Arnold but Kim has such a beautiful way with animals and Arnold just adores her. |
If you are going on holiday and would like somebody to visit your cat every day, to feed and change water and litter trays, and play with and give cuddles (if they want them), please do get in touch.
I love cats. I've lived with cats for many years, and have had a range of different cat sitters when I've gone on holiday. I knew my cats very well so could always tell whether they'd been well looked after while I was away, as I'm sure you can too. Sometimes friends or cat sitters will have so much to pack into their days that they seem to make flying visits of only 5 minutes or so, and just change the litter and dump some food out before rushing off. With my cats I've always been able to tell when this happens by the way they behave when I return from holiday.
I will spend up to an hour with your cat per visit and a very important part of my visit is spending time with your cat, cuddling if they like being cuddled, or playing if they like playing. I am very happy to follow instructions about feeding, grooming, or playing.
I am used to being a cat climbing tree and cat bed, and have had kittens sitting on my head before, as can be seen from one of the photos below. If your cat has special interactive toys they like to play with, I am happy to play as long as they like. I regularly cat-sit for a number of cats and in many cases have seen them growing from little kitten to adults. Quite a few of them are ginger for some reason, see photos below. I can also potentially look after other small pets such as rabbits etc.
Please make sure that there is enough food and litter, and anything else the cat needs, for the duration of your absence.
I charge £18 per visit, and can visit either once or twice a day.

"We have a kitten who was feeling a bit poorly before our trip. My children were concerned that we were leaving our “baby” behind, but Kim showered our kitten with so much love! She sent us so many videos and photos, and updated on on how our “baby” was doing. In fact, I think she did such a great job that baby didn’t care we returned from our trip. I think he misses Kim more than he missed us whilst we were away! In fact, I think he’s looking forward to us going away again so he can play with Kim. Thanks so much!" - Mariko, and Vader the Russian Blue
